I'd drive that... I'd get arrested, but I'd drive it.

Blue- The "kit trucks & cars" are cool.

Solman- How very true that is, & large trucks cost less than mid size ones. Only Company still making a standard cab, w/short bed is Ram..

No, GM makes them. I saw one yesterday. They don't sell well that's why you never see them. That's also why they look kind of funny now. From a practicality stand point, a standard cab isn't all that practical anymore. Even extended cabs aren't all that popular. I'd personally never buy anything but a crew cab.

Well my local GM dealer lied then, caused I asked if I could even order one, & they said no.

Everyone has their own tastes. A crew cab is not for me. I like them short & low. . If I got a full size now it would be a Ram Classic 1500 anyhow.

I just looked. You can get a standard cab but only with a long bed. The one I saw was the previous generation. I guess never assume you can get the same configuration! My next truck is either a Chevy\GMC or a Ford. It'll be used. I've never bought new and don't intend to do that now. Especially with today's prices.

Doc- yep, Dealer told me 2017 was last of the std cab & short box. And only thing I EVER bought new was my 1997 Harley Davidson Road King, that I still have.
Todays truck prices are way up there, neighbor just got ac F-250 Special Edition, (Blacked out) rig. It is sharp, but not for $70K he told me.

My Dad was a Ford truck guy, me not so much.
