forget that other league,,thay cant even win all star games, in a short series anything can happen if a team gets hot, but the n.l. cant keep up with the a.l. power houses...watch out for A-rod with a A-bomb

Don't be so sure about the NL's lack of chances. Just look at last year, although Detroit was the AL wild card, they had home field and played in a much tougher division than St. Louis had (if St. Louis had been in the AL last season they wouldn't have even qualified for the playoffs). The redbirds found a way to beat my boys.

This year, gotta go with the wife's team. I am a believer in the power of the team from the desert. (and for the record, my wife will ALWAYS refer to their stadium as "The BOB.")

You are so right about more cubbie fan. It really is sad that during playoffs they can not sell out so the tickets go to cub fans. I think that more dbacks fan will show up for game 2.

And that is the arrogance I was talking about Seriously though, yea it's true the National League has struggled recently against the American League in the All Star game, but that is not a reason to write off the N.L.s chances to win the World Series this year. Time will tell, but I like our chances.

Sox rotation solid

WS Championships this Century

Boston 1

NY 0

Take it easy Goose. You guys almost blew a 14 game lead. I don't think the Sox rotation is any better than the Yankees, and our Bull pen is way better than yours. I'll still put my money on "MO" anyday. Oh and i can't wait to see your answer to your bullpen problems, Mr. Gagne, pitch in a big game.

I do believe that the Sox payroll is second or third in MLB. Oh and by the way you guys also pay the highest price for game Tix in MLB. If i were you i would be pissed off that my team didn't spend more money. You guys limped into the play offs and were looking over your shoulder the last month. Just do me a favor and beat the Angels. The Yankees never beat the Angels, but we can beat the Sox.

Yankees 3

Whoops

With their "ace" on the mound

Whoops

At least Beckett pitched like a #1 should the other night

C. Wang (L, 0-1) 4.2 9 8 8 4 2 2 15.43

Whoops

J. Beckett (W, 1-0) 9.0 4 0 0 0 8 0 0.00

No Whoops

I flew over Cleveland tonight on my way home from St Louis and even at 33000 feet it looked painful

Pettitte's last start

5.0 8 9 8 2 3 0

Ouch

Rotation as good as the Sox? I'd argue that one

Watch out for those Rockies...seems to me they swept the Yanks in June...oh yeah they did..I was at Coors Field for Game 1 So if I was a Yanks fan I would not be dumping on the NL...Rocks carved them up pretty good

Go Sox!

Bringing up all 26 championships is like me crowing about the Celtics winning all those titles in the 60's...old news...what have you done for me lately seems to fit here

Steinbrenner must be going absolutely bonkers right about now...if the Yanks lose tonight it won't be pretty

You are kidding right??????? Yankee bullpen way better?????????????

You better come up with someone besides Mariano (Pap better) or Chamberlain....gave up 1 HR this year.....to who? Oh yeah Mike Lowell

I'll give you that Gagne is pretty bad...not sorta bad..just REALLY bad lol.........I will take DelCarmen, OkieDokie,Timlin and company over who??? Vizcanio, Bruney, Farnsworth and Ramirez etc??????

You better check the pitching statistics again....

Sort of ironic that the Yankees sort of mirror the Sox of the 70's and 80's....tons of hitting but no pitching at all
