Let's face it, the interior quality of the HHR ain't nothing to write home about either. Having said that, although I give the edge to the dash of the PT (2005 and earlier...the 2006 redesign was hideous), all other aspects of the HHR's interior win hands-down. The PT's interior was very much "blah" outside of the dash (its center console couldn't have been more bland).

My brother has an 05 PT which he beats the crap out of. (He never knew how to care for his cars) I got my 06 HHR. They both are utilitarian cars. The HHR is supposed to go out of production in 2011 with nothing to replace it for a reasonable price.

What will fill that void. Hyndai Tucson?

I don't know about everyone else, but I've always thought that the Jeep Patriot seemed close to the HHR in size/utility. It's a little bit more of an SUV than the HHR, but it still gets fairly good gas mileage, and you can get it in 4WD. It has a 4-cylinder engine like the HHR. It doesn't have the retro styling though, and it probably wouldn't be quite as customizable. Is that a word?

What's wrong with 80's vehicles-The 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal Broughm below is the only way I could afford a car (Cash for Clunkers-even though it wasn't, but who else would give me $4500 for it?)
