Got the majority of the flood damaged stuff out of the basement today..... Now it's all in the garage. Not sure if that's an improvement or not.

2 inches of rain in about an hour....... it comes in from everywhere. It's a hundred + year old house.

OK I get ya, had a 140 year old house at one time. The only cure was to dig up the basement floor, install sump pits and pumps, then pour a new floor. Two months of futzing around and $10k later, I had a dry basement at last, and people wonder why I like living in a condo so much these days.

I can't believe the weather you folks are getting up your way, you have to be wondering if it'll ever dry out.
