Scratchpad!
Mine's not quite that clean.... at the moment. But it's all there including the KT88 power tubes, and the tube rectifier.
Those pictured have solid state rectifiers.
They make great guitar amps, ya know?

Yeah the tube rectifiers add some warmth to the tone, very lucky find. I have one that I use with my Les Paul, they just seem to be a perfect match sonically. Wish mine had the tube rectifiers, but no complaints. $5, man I must not be living right or something.
"..... man I must not be living right or something."
It's not about living right, or living wrong....... It's about living different.
I'd never own a Dynakit unless it did cost $5, because I can't afford a restored one. Never had that kind of income, so I learned to scrounge and repair stuff.
I don't own a Les Paul either, I attended Roberto Venn school of luthiery back in the 80's, learned how to build guitars. I was hired as soon as I graduated as the head electric instructor and built my own version of a "Paul" along with several other guitars.
Back in the day I was a mechanic/body man because I wanted a street machine, built my own. (more than one actually) Never got paid much, but was always busy and had "stuff" nobody else had.
So, it's just "different" Sometimes I luck out, and find a cool item for cheap...... other times I get my basement flooded and live without heat. Ironically if this amp needs repair, which it more than likely does, I used to own everything I needed to do the job...... It was all in said basement.

Didn't mean to stir up sad memories of things lost Greybeard, I've come on a bunch of my stuff for cheap or for free. The Les Paul was traded in to our music store for a box of Beatles records, it needed a new neck and was pretty rough, but after years of care and tinkering its pretty good. My Strat went through Hurricane Hugo so its as battle scarred as they get, but it still plays sweet and true, maybe more so because of the scars.
Maybe someday we can get together and talk about guitars/amps and life in general. Let me know if you come up short on parts with that Dynakit, pretty sure there are some bits I can lay my hands on. As far as living different, its what makes you the cool guy you are, so keep on keeping on.

Hey guys. I saw some of your posts, not going into details can PM me/text me if you want to. I know Kevin knows what is going on as well, just a ton of personal crap on top of the car. I havn't been posting because I no longer have laptop access, and my PC I just got to working-ish order today. I have a friend who might be building me up a new tower that actualy works well enough to load more then 1 internet explorer tab so I will try to post up some more, but that would invlove me being home which hasnt' been going on much around work.
Car right now is working, this last time they replaced the electrical pieces to the wastegate and all that basically touch it, seems to be working right now, 2 weeks and counting on these parts.
