My wife has been anti-gun her entire life. But with recent events and the state of our nations politics, she has been scared into wanting protection. She wouldn't let me get her a really nice hand gun like I wanted, so I settled on a fairly inexpensive SW 40 cal. This weekend I teach her how to properly use it. She learned how to disassemble and reassemble last night.

It's good that she's open minded, unfortunately it's a bad thing that recent events have convinced her that it is necessary. I got myself got into firearms as an extension of activities when I first started going to the desert. Nowadays I'm no longer a desert rat, but recent events as well have increased my awarenesss (evidence the HR bills mentioned in my signature) And now a recent one HJ Resolution 5 introduced last month by a Gentleman from NY that want's to repeal the ammendment on presidential term limits. That is scary.

Sorry to politicize the issue and go off topic I will now get off the podium and shutup

I have a CO2 pellet gun that I use to keep the neighbors' cats out of my yard.
Does that count?

Here's a couple pics of the borrowed guns I had to give back to Uncle Sam after a year in the desert.

Hey A76marine, is that a .50BMG?!?!?!?
That must have been a hoot to shoot, especially when uncle sam is buying the ammo
