Hey gang, sorry if my disappearing act this week has worried y'all. I had to have some cosmetic work done to my face related to the accident I had in late December, so I have been taking some time off from the world so to speak.

Despite looking like Mike Tyson used me for practice in hopes of another comeback bout, I'm feeling a bit better now.

Turns out that something got missed in the ER the day of the accident, I was still carrying around some Genuine PPG tinted safety glass in my face...whoops!

The doctors are all very apologetic of course, and not just because I'm a lawyer, they are really unhappy the glass was missed...can't say that I'm too bloody thrilled about it either.

Anyway, thanks to all of you who've sent me PM's to check on my health/continued existence/whether or not I've gone mental and traded everything in on Fords etc.

I'll be more active here in the coming days as my face stops throbbing like a conga drum, until then, thanks for caring folks. Like I've said before, you are the best, and I'm so happy to be a part of this group.

 

You know, carrying glass around under your skin could get you tagged as a terrorist these days. Glad they caught that before the TSA did.....

Nothing to worry about, it would take more than a remodeled face to make me go over the the "Dark Side" and start driving those Blue Oval beasts.

Thankfully the swelling and pain have diminished to the point where I feel pretty good again, still bandaged up like Boris Karloff in "The Mummy", feel like I'm all fixed up for Halloween....in January.

Paddy will be back home on Tuesday, right now the little critter is at Hughes Automotive where they'll finish the alignment and chassis setup on Monday. Then its back to Concord Auto Body for final detailing and inspection, so I'll have my favorite HHR back just short of a month since being hit in Charlotte.

Pics will follow once I get him back, you'll get to see my "new" face somewhat later, the whole "pirate who came out on the losing end of a bar fight" look isn't something I'm anxious to show off.

Aint nothing wrong with Ford, at least theyre not like Kia, Toyota, Hyundai etc. etc....

 

Just razzing the Ford folks there Mr. Shark, I've been tempted to try a Mustang a time or two over the years. Now those other brands, all I can say is if I ever bought one, just assume I've been kidnapped by aliens and replaced by some sort of android.
