Tell us about you.

I started reading these forums a couple weeks before I purchased my HHR.

I like the group here, so I am going to do a formal intro. Hopefully you guys will follow suit!

My name is Marshall and I am 22 years old,. I currently live in Columbia, Maryland. I am an Army contractor on Ft. Meade near Washington DC. I provide privatized housing for the military families here and on 5 other posts/bases. I am the guy who moves families from old standard military housing into brand new houses that are often MUCH bigger and VERY nice! Any current or past military members will know how great that is!

I’ve lived in Maryland for the 3 years. Before that I lived in Pensacola, Fl.

My dad was in the Navy for 31 years so I’ve traveled quite a few places around the world before settling here.

I’ve never considered myself a Chevy fan. Then I saw an HHR. After one test drive I made my purchase.

I own a Black HHR that I can’t wait to start customizing. I traded my 2000 Chrysler Cirrus on 18" rims in for it.

I love it.

Hope to get some good responses from this thread.

My name is Jason Cornelius, 27 will be 28 in may. Just got married a couple weeks ago to Sarah, we have been together for 3 years and a handful of months. We live in independence, ky, 10 minutes from cincinnati, oh. Click here for reason why we bought the HHR. We both love this car, this is the second one. If i hadnt walked away from the wreck i had in the 1st HHR i wouldnt have bought an other, we feel way more comfortable and safe in this car than we did in the sentra, expecially with Olivia on the way.

Hi Marshall! My name is Mike and I'm the resident "mod-prodder" (if you haven't guessed that by now!). I retired from a career in automotive publishing and started my own bike shop (bicycles), and ran it for a few years. The birth of our new son (Andrew, 18-months), gave us the desire to move closer to our extended family, so we sold our home and the bike shop, then relocated.

I've also owned a recording studio for a few years (and am a multi-instrumentalist), so I brought that business along with us. Shortly after buying the HHR I realized "this thing's gonna take off bigger than the PT Cruiser did!" and started SoCalHHR's the next day. It's been a slow and arduous process, but my automotive contacts have helped, along with the great people from this board who have no qualms about telling me what they'd like (and not like!), to see in the way of HHR parts & accessories!

ChevyHHR.net is the place to be and I'm a full Supporting Vendor here. With the help of the great members of this board it will soon be known as the most fun and informative place on the web to learn about the Chevy HHR and meet fellow owners! (*Bonus: we have Captain Howdy! )

Glad to have you and......get moving on thise mods, will ya!
-Mike

P.S. I was in the USMC from '76-82, and remember what base housing was like back then. Kudos to you for helping to change all that!!! Those pics of your new "base housing" look like they popped out of a resort mag! GREAT JOB! I'm sure the men and women who live there must be very grateful!
