I paid $500 for a '76 Chevy Nova. It only had the inline 6 Cyl. Little to no rust and the interior was in really good shape. The only real problem is that is was the lime greenish color of some sort.

I worked in a service station when i was 15. The owner gave me a 49 Chevy car that had the motor frozen. I worked on it when i wasn't busy at night with customers. Put Kerosene down the plug holes and let it set for days. Used to pull it up and down the road and pop the clutch to try to break the motor loose. It happened 1 day and i drove it for a year. I entered the army and my dad drove the car to work. The motor blew one day and knocked the starter right off. Big hole in the block. This all happened about 45 years ago and the body is still intact right now.

1958 Rambler American. Paid $50 for it in 1968. It actually ran! Drove it for about two years until it developed a cracked block.

first car

My first car was a 1955 Pontiac Chieftan that had 22,000 miles on it in 1967. I drove that old tank until I got Drafted in 1969. I bought it for $100 bucks and sold it for $200 bucks. Thats the last time I made money on a car!! I usually get burned when I sell em!! Sonny Martin
