What the heck is a "daily driver" anyway?

From what I gather, it's a deraugatory term for your regular car that you try to supe-up. Something like a rice racer without the rice.

So is my SS that I keep clean, and drive (most, many, not all) days some kind of daily driver?

Please edify me on this.

Daily driver means just that, the car you drive daily. My daily is my HHR. My weekender is my 2005 Mustang GT. 400hp, 5 speed, 12mpg, it was my daily until gas went over $4.00/gal. It's a lot of fun, but I was paying $450-$475 a month in gas to drive it daily.

Daily driver is just that - your main mode of transportation, it can be a POS or carefully maintained in good condition. Which I try to do
