Maybe we should start some kind of "Extreme Makeover" for badly modded HHRs. That stripe looks like something a dealer would put on, you know "stripes make it go faster".
The number of portholes is correct because on Buicks(from whence they are derived)three per side meant a six under the hood, four per side meant an eight cylinder, so two per side means a four cylinder unless one or two fell off...then its just sad.

I think I remember where that Big Boy is... (but haven't lived in the greater Dayton area since 1965...) I used to love going to Woody's (with the walkway over the road) and the drive-thru beer places... My long-gone Aunt Pat made brakes at Delco-Moraine for 56+ years and my Mom made bomb fuzes there during WWII (Aunt Pat made prop bearings for bombers, including B-29's; before she died, she had a chance to see Enola Gay at the Smithsonian and commented on her role. Don't know if she made the ones on EG, but it could have been...)
