Why I bought My HHR
I know this is getting away from the point of the poll, but I'll blather on anyhow
CH, I understand your perspective now. Performance is more than speed - everyone can agree on that I think. You have people that love bikes, hot rods, tuners, etc... You'll probably have a hard time convincing a guy who loves his '70 Hemi Cuda that a WRX STi is a cool car too!
There are lots of 4-cylinder cars that are amazing. Subaru WRX STi, Mitsu Evo, and you can't forget the Lotus Elise! They just don't fit CH's idea of "performance" - and LOTS of people would agree and disagree with that point of view!
That is the great thing about cars - Lots of choice, and lots of opinions!

Style and economy had a lot to do with why I bought my HHR. I was looking for an economical, fun car with lots of room that didn't look like everything else on the road. I was about to buy a malibu maxx, until I took Sebastian for a test drive. It was love at first drive
.
we needed a
cheap ($ amount, not quality)
4 Dr (4+ seater)
SUV-ish/Truck (=space)
MPG (but non-slug, and could get out of its own way)
style (not a fan of retro, but i like this version)
my "bloated cavalier" fills my performance needs lol

Our reason for getting an HHR really isn't part of the poll, but "Style/economy" is about as close as it can be with the options provided.
Due to my buddy arthur itis
I needed something that was easier to get in and out of than a sedan. We did not want a minivan (ewwwww) or an SUV.
The HHR gave me exactly what I needed. It is easy to get in and out of and has better performance and mileage than the V6 sedans we had before, and it looks good.

The real reason I asked at all was, I see a lot of posts talking about this or that upgrade for minimal gain. I was wondering just how many people just wanted a nice looking ride, one you`re not ashamed to be seen in, and have an economic price and fuel consumption rate.
One thread even asked if we wanted to drag race !!! Might as well just pour that fuel on the ground, probably would have a faster evaporation rate.

They need to step up drive a car with some real balls and RWD.
I bought mine because of the great mix of affordability, space, style, and options!!
