There`s at least one (1) performance vote. No comment though (apparently).
I`ve had a Mustang (GT), I certainly didn`t see the same type of car when I saw the HHR.
I probably would`ve let the HHR leave the light, and blown it`s doors off about a block later.
One thing about that Mustang, you could pass anything, but a gas station...

I voted for performance because although I like the way my HHR looks.... I like when I outrun cars at the lites. I have followed enOnaamI's (sorry) posts and have found them ver informitive on making more horses. I have a 2.4 with a 5 spd. I have the CGS intake, CA Header, and a 2.5 inch no catalytic down pipe and redone my exhaust with 2.5 inch mandrel bent piping, a resonator and a flowmaster muffler. It sounds ricey but I don't care. I live here in AZ with the rest of the group but never posted untilll now becuase i see alot of fighting on here like this. people instigating things. I just wanted to say HI and I did get my HHR for performace because i dont like cobalts. I have also outrun a few of the older 5.0 mustangs going up onramps here. and they were all trying. So please stop your useless chatter about what constitutes a perfromance car before more people like me are scared away from posting on this forum. Everyone is entitled to opinions but this is just stoopid. I think your hhr is ugly by comparison to my orange and your toy thing isa nice idea but still looks nasty. paint looks unfinished and not very shiny. but that is my opinion and i am enititled to it. so there!

MyLeftLugNut....loose lugnut mayhap?

Sorry - couldn't resist

Unless you say otherwise I'm going to pretend your post was written with a certain "tongue-in-cheek" flare. I sure thought it was funny, and that is my opinion - SO THERE!

If you were serious...well....the Mustang 5.0L was a pile of crap, so with the mods you listed you probably could blow by them on the on-ramp. However, if you took on a modded 5.0L (in this case Vortech is your enemy!), then you'd be looking at the arse end of that fox-body in no time.

Oh, shiny paint rules!

I traded my wife's '02 Volvo V70 XC for my HHR.

Huh?

The XC was starting to age, I was getting tired of the mommobile (I inherited the XC after the wife got her '06 BMW 530xi Touring for her 40th) and it went into "safe mode" which meant the PCM or the tranny was on its way out. The sunroof rattled, other piddling things too.

So I brought home the HHR. '06 Daytona Blue, 2LT, Leather, OnStar, XM, boards, spoiler, roof rails, chrome pak, and what was missing GM wise was bought at cost at the dealership. We've had it almost 3 months and 4600 miles now. The wife complains it's not as comfy as the Volvo but then again her daily driver is a Bimmer.

There's a Gibson dual exhaust sitting in my garage waiting to go on it. I think this will be as fun as the Avalanche but with better mpg.

Welcome to a fellow DBM! Yours sounds set up just the way mine was when I drove it off the lot. Just don't have the rear spoiler.

First of all,I bought mine for the utility. The flexible interior works well for antique hunting, even if it's just flea market furniture. Secondly, the seating position and ease of entry is easier on my bad back. The Stratus R/T I traded in was a great car and reliable but the low seats were killer to my lower back. The fact that Rebel Grey gets 28-31 MPG is just gravy.

Ok, moving right along, now we have a REAL Mustang fighter, I knew there was one.
You are welcome to post some pix of this Beautiful (and obviously different from all others I`ve seen) Orange HHR of yours, and I also have a Road Ripper contest thread out there, where you can show your modelling skills to the others also.B/B
