I agree with that. Those of us that took the risk of a new model - flying on faith...

Well at this point, only 33 members even cared enough to vote, and 50%-ish, don`t care one way or another, if you have a 2006, you`re in, so I guess the real answer is, sorta like freedom, If you don`t value it enough to fight for it, you don`t deserve it anyway...
Long live the YR-1er`s.

Hey, I got Iron Man used BUT within the first model year with 8K on him. So I'm confused

Granted I found myself at a dealership in July/Aug of '05 driving and falling for a Black 2LT but I did not buy it because the wife wanted to spend less, so we bought a Vibe. Which I hated and then we traded it for our HHR loosing money all the way

I'm still not sure what went on with Iron Man before I got him, during what I call the "Mystery Miles", but he has been relatively good to us so far

Ok, I've had the ignition lock TSB problem, but all other problems are of my own making ( Scrapes...yuck )

One more time, it`s for the people on this site who owned a HHR during the first year of production, and endured/enjoyed the joys/pains and innovations, that were past down to the next group of owners, who could read about our experience and benefit.
So, if you find/buy a 2006 HHR today (07-10-07) you are not a year one owner under the definition originally given. You may want to be, but you`re not.
How about this analogy, The 12345 club.
You can only be in the club if you actually took a pic of your dash at 12345, not 12346, not 24536, not 123, only at 12345 period.
If you missed it, you missed it, end of story.

Thanks. Cool.
OK, I get the definition. So I'm one of them then. Since I got the car before any 2007s were out and production was still happening on the 2006 models. Just 'cause I'm the second owner simply means there was another year one owner who abdicated his/her position to me

Heck, I even joined another HHR forum long before I found this one. Really have not been back since. It helped me when I owned the Vibe by reminding me of what I was missing out on

If you buy a new 2006 today, you will be a year 1 owner since you own the first model year. Since it is new you will endure any pain and suffering with this vehicle the same as anyone that bought any other 2006 model new. Makes no differance if it was bought today or 18 months ago.

If you bought a 2006 model used, you still may or may not suffer (probably will) any issues with a 2006 model. You are still a year 1 owner (it still a 2006 model). You are just not the first owner.

We have many unique features in our Year 1.

1. The Majestic Amythest Metallic colour (no longer a colour option)
2. Brushed/Satin Chrome (also, no longer an option)
3. Until Thanksgiving, we had 10,001 miles on it (the lowest mileage Year 1 HHR), and we bought it in September 2005.
