I would say...if you own one...a 2006...at any point, new, used, whatever...technically...you ARE a Year One owner.
That's only because I now have a 1st year HHR.
had I purchased it NEW...I'd be a NYR-1....but I am now just a YR-1, or a UYR-1

as for taking a leap of faith by buying a FIRST YEAR car...
Nope...you folks had a warranty. The REAL risk takers...are the ones who bought USED 06's out of warranty.
