32mm socket?
I was at Advance Auto and picked one up $12.9? + tax I hate cheap tools but I figured this socket is only gona be used on a plastic cap so no big deal but for China made socket I think I got riped off for about $5.00 atleast .
I keep reading on here how the oil come shooting out when folks change there oil seemed like the HHR was like every other car I have changed oil in for the last 40+ yrs nbd .

Agreed, nbd.. I let it drain for 1/2 hour (as I do other stuff)..& always takes 5 full qts right to the hot full line 'exactly'...
I did find one thing I didn't see mentioned here but iam sure it has been most likely .
Even with the right socket its easier to work with using a long extension and a swivel socket adapter hooked on to the 32 mm socket . Sure you can do it without those tools BUT its easier with them IMHO anyway .
Hook the socket and adapter swivel on first thou and then your long extension !a short and long extension would not be over kill if you got them just gives you lots a room to turn is all .

I already have a socket for HHR oil changes but I was in Harbor Freight Tools this morning and I saw a 32mm, 1/2" drive socket that looks like it would work for $2.99. Item #67830 if anyone is interested.
