-50F RV antifreeze
I have part of a 1 gallon jug outside, it's 2*F out there.. So much for protection. The liquid reminds me of olive oil. I have a jug of -30*F washer fluid next to it and it's like water. And no, nothing contaminated it.

What I'm trying to show is. The anti-freeze has more viscosity than washer fluid at 2*F.

Yes, RV anti-freeze is meant for the plumbing in motorhomes/trailers etc. - and yes it is often thicker than water. It's key thing other than being an antifreeze to protect the plumbing, is that it generally non-toxic, and safe for use in RV water supplies. It can also be used to protect the pressure washer, although a regular auto antifreeze can be used as well. It definitely is not for use in automobile engines.
When I winterize our trailer, I drain as much as possible (including the hot water tank) then use an air compressor to blow the remaining water out of the lines. Some people will then pump the RV antifreeze into the plumbing to super-protect the pipes. Just blowing out the pipes is sufficient for our unit. Then I pour about a cup of RV antifreeze into each sink/tub to protect the traps.

Whopper you just educated me. When I bought it for my pressure washer it was said to use it. Looking at the label I thought is was used in the engine of an RV and had other uses too.

Great cartoon!!!! LOL Being non-toxic, it supposedly is safe to ingest some of the RV antifreeze after flushing from the pipes and hot water tank if it is not all removed, but it is non-toxic just as a safeguard.
My neighbour had his pressure washer freeze up and damage the innards to the point when he first used it in the spring, water poured out of the housing.
His was a major brand name one, so he managed to get a replacement part quickly.
I bring mine inside now rather than take a chance on it. :)
