Changing sway bar links and or balljoints

I've changed my sway bar links and lower control arms a year ago and also replaced the struts. I get a noise that sounds like something is banging in the front sometimes going over bumpy streets. Does this mean I may have to replace any of these parts? I do get a creaking sound as well sometimes .

I had the same thing. It just so happened that the torgue on the sway bar link wasn't correct tightened it the correct torgue and wala, gone. I replaced everything on my 2006 HHR on the front end. Only thing not replaced was the sway bar mounts as they were ok. i just lubed them. So i would check those sway bar link rod torgues.

Check the sway bar bushings.

The creaking sounds like sway bar bushings. There's a link in my signature to help diagnose these noises.
