First time poster, and I hope that this topic has not been already covered. If it has, please accept my apologies.

What is the best way to clean the interior surfaces? My new SS has about 850 miles on it and it is just starting to show a little bit of dirt and dust on the dash, etc. I'm assuming that I should use some mild cleaner, but what? Windex? In the old days, I would use Armor All and live with the glare. I'm hoping that there is something a little bit better out there.

A couple of people mentioned Blackfire Interior Cleaner and Protectant or 303 Aerospace Protectant. I have used Meguiar's for quite awhile and happy with the results. Also, you may consider getting a California Car Company Dash Duster.

 

I use turtle wax ice interior cleaner, leaves the interior looking factory not all slimy.

 

I'll just say Welcome to the site. I'm not that good at cleaning except for using soap and water and some sort of leather wipes for leather seats which you don't have on the SS. What is your teaching field? The kids must love a teacher with a SS.

 

I teach 8th grade social studies. Most kids think that the SS is cool, but some have no idea what it is. To be honest, we are about a week away from spring break, and the students are so wound up that there are days that I think they think that I don't even exist. But by summer, I'll forget all about them!

 

I use an ammonia free glass and surface cleaner, followed up by pledge, yes pledge. What ever you do don't use windex, it will destroy the plastics.

 

GM/AC Delco has a really good vinyl / plastic / upholstery cleaner that you can purchase at the GM Parts counter.

It's kind of a white foam cleaner. Works great on plastic trim pieces!

 

I've had pretty good luck with just a damp or wet rag, that does good on the carpet too, a wet towel. Doesn't leave soap residue which always attracts more dirt.

 

I use Armoral. They have a natural finish that is non-gloss.
