New bulbs and clear lens does make a difference lol
Went out to dinner last night with friends and on the way back home on dark roads it was a nice difference !
So will see how they hold up. Even if it has to be done twice a year very doable,
But as a back up plan I am looking at new headlights :)

1A Auto has them in sets for a good price, then there’s EBay, what the brands there, some very cheap junk.

When and if I do change the complete assembly I want decent ones not cheapo junk lol. The extra few $$$ is worth spending on lights IMO
1A Auto as far as I know has good stuff, I would assume Rock Auto as well !

Looks like new!

I was going to order new ones but the cheapskate in me made me try refinishing. Came out very well. Looked frosty until the spray finish. Many grades of wet sanding, then Meguire’s stuff. Been over a year, starting to fade, but still way better that the yellow frosty horror of “before.” (Sorry, forgot to take a pic of that.) The Maguire’s spray only promises a year. I want to find an suitable UV auto clearcoat that will last much longer.

As an experiment I used an all-purpose clearcoat (Rustoleum or something) on a scrap BU lamp. The “after” pic makes it look a lot better than it really does. Not satisfactory at all.

Neighbor kids car had cataracts on his headlights & he asked me if I knew anything that might help.
I told him to bring his lil car over. Grabbed some toothpaste & got his looking much better, I just showed him what to do. This way he will remember.
Anyway results were not bad for $0. cost, & he is thrilled..

Sleeper I have heard of other using toothpaste as well. Does OK. We also used Toothpaste in Boot Camp to clean the sweat line off our Sailor Dixie Cap hats lol worked well
