I might believe that price for a charcoal filter from NAPA but not the non-charcoal filter.

Just bought one from there about an hour ago. $14.95 minus 10%.

That was the same price quoted to me over a year ago at my dealer as well.
Got a charcoal filter of ebay for half that.

the eBay ones

I bought about four of them on eBay for some ridiculously low price like $5 each. They are a bit hard to fit, but they go and they do work. This is a paper filter, not a lot of risk if they are not perfect.

I got an STP filter from autozone and it was about an 1/8" wider than the factory one. It was a pain in the ass to install an d I am not sure it even went all the way in. Being wider was bunching up, not a very good product. I paid about $30.00 at dealer from my friend who is parts manager. I will definitely try another brand next time but I did not know there were charcoal ones. How well do they work?

I paid about $22 for the Fram one that's treated with Arm & Hammer. The fit was a little snug but overall it's great.

The cabin air filter is as easy to replace as the engine air filter is difficult!

I know! I've never even seen my air filter before!!!! I figure if the dealer didn't tell me it needs replacing yet, it's probably fine. You know them...one speck of dirt and you need to buy one!!! Besides, I don't live in a dusty area, so I'm sure it's still good...
