I have a 2006 2.4 that does this very same thing if held exactly at 40, itll jump around because the tranny doesnt know what to do. I test drove a 2008 a couple years ago that had the same jumping at 50. Mine has done it since I bought it with 130,000 miles, now has 240,000 and I dont think itll hurt anything just drive 35 MPH or 45 MPH lol
