Did mine with hand tools. Only issue I had was replacing sway bar links after I screwed mine up using the wrong size wrench trying to keep the dang ball end from spinning. I would recommend replacing the link ends with the struts anyway.

If you replace the links with the struts it is one less bolt to take off :)

Get the links with grease fittings on them, I got a set off Ebay for $26. If it's already "klunking" replace the swaybar bushings while you're at it(easier with the links loose/off.
