I got some NGK 6509's and I am going to put them in tonight. They are one step colder than stock since I am running higher boost so I will see how they do.

I don't think you will need one step colder plugs. My car didn't like them at all (misfires galore). GMS1 or HPT.

The plug you want (if you wanted one step colder) is ILTR6A-8G (3787) since they come pregapped at .032''.

I put the 6509's in and gapped them to .032" I ran it around last night and it ran fine seemed to be holding boost more steady right about 25psi.

I knew about the 3787 but nobody had any in stock around.

Does that mean that if you're tuned, you should get one step colder plugs then? Sorry that was a tad confusing for me, I haven't had enough coffee at work yet lol.

Many of the cobalt folks have switched to a one step colder plug after tuning. I think something like for every 50 hp over stock you should go down a step. Mine seems to be running much better after the swap last night.

I had just about 38k on the stockers.

No, my car ran better on the stock plugs. Some cars like a step colder some don't. Whatever works for you I guess.

All three aluminium cylinder heads are the same torque value for the spark plugs , 15 ft / lbs .
no torque wrench? Ok, finger tighten then 1/8 turn of the ratchet and plug socket

the gap is preset , do not attempt to gap , the whiskers break very easily.
2.2 and 2.4 get a .040 gap
