Maf sensor cleaning

Where do you spray the sensor to clean it ? In the square opening? Got 2.2 engine 2007

Exactly, a squirt of MAFcleaner in the little square hole, let it dry and ensue you install it in the correct direction.

Ok just cleaned it and notice that back of the maf you see some slits I spray maf cleaner there too .. because the little square hole I didn't see any thin wire there ? Do you have to take it apart ? Also once you unplug it , it takes time to relearn your driving habits?
Just someone shed some light on thanks

Does this help? I think this is similar to ours.

The way the MAF works: it measures the current required to keep the heated wire at a set temperature, thus indirectly measuring the air mass passing over it. Obviously more complicated than that.
