Rotors non ss

Like to get opinions on good rotors for the hhr.. I'm tired of warping problem and what is the best way to attack this? I'm thinking on going with ceramic pads for the front and oem thickness rotors.. Ok fire away

Been there ,pondered that, upgraded to non brembo SS rotors and calliper brackets! Dolman did a great how to sometime ago.
I've tried several different brands of rotors and pads!

Ceramic pads are worse for warping, if that really is what is going on.

Yes the rear drums can cause the judder. But the larger rotors do alieviate the problem!

Well ceramic has better stopping power since the front do all the work . Anyway all the brand name rotors are made in China ..bendix,raybest,centric and others cheap throw aways.. Even Wagner brake pads are China made but had good luck with them the thermo qiuts .. Well I just learned a new thing lol . I guess I'm too old school lol.. Happy motors

Centric brand are the best, & can be had for dirt cheap on Amazon or Ebay...

Check out my lightweight rotor thread:
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/hhr-...lection-50326/

i've been running lighter than stock rotors for years, & have ever had to replace any of them...

I used to replace the rotors on my wifes Malibu every year, but after switching over to Centric, it takes 3 years for her to turn them into toast...

I bought the Callahan 11.6" rotors about 50,000 miles ago, they weren't expensive, I think about $70 a pair and no sign of warping, despite over 10,000 of those miles towing a trailer, I'm sure the larger size helps keep temperatures down. I'm using standard pads from Autozone, and they're not even half worn yet.
