suspension woes..
hello all,
2010 hhr LT with 135,000 miles. just today had mechanic replace sway bar end links..seems to have solved the creaking i was hearing at low speeds. had everything inspected, shocks and struts, sway bar bushings, control arms, etc. mechanic says all good to go.
has anyone ever noticed that after your hhr gets some age to it, it starts to feel and sound differently from when it was new? i bought mine in 2011 with 34k miles on it.
this thread isn't another "help me thread" just wanting to see what everyone else thinks.
i have talked with other people that end up dropping 1k on different parts and still have issues.
share your stories with me. id be interested to read them. :)

I think all the stories have already been told in the numerous threads/posts regarding noisy suspension issues. And I don't think there is a car in the world that doesn't feel and sound different after it accumulates a fair number of miles, even with timely maintenance.

i notice when its really cold, new creaks and noises begin.
depends on what noises you are hearing, there are quite a few things needing replacing depending on age of vehicle and mileage.
there are LOTS of threads regarding suspension noises so check them out
A lot of people forget to check the strut mounts, they too cause noises.
but the most common are :
sway bar bushings
steering column
i-shaft
tie rods
control arm bushings front and rear
strut mounts
try to replace with OEM or go with MOOG the 'problem solver' parts
