I tried the EBC's, was worried about the disclaimer on the box about the brake wobbles @ 2000 milse. Like clockwork, the wobbles appeared at 2000 miles. Ireplaced them with the cheapest Chinese rotors, and have travelled 9000 miles with no problems.
I think the best option is going to the oversized Viper rotors. These brakes are just palin under-engineered.

Are Viper Rotors a direct fit? Do they require any thing other than putting them on?

A solid set of blanks with Hawk pads for performance sake. Myself, I prefer an aftermarket blank with a Factory(GM) set of pads. Money was tight when I did my brakes though, so I have turned stock rotors and Wearever Gold's from Advance.

No, they require redrilling and homemade adapters for your calipers. Few have them and they do look good, I just don't have any way to make the adapters.

Can anyone tell me what the cost of a full set would be on the front? Rotors, Pads. I cant seem to find a way to get prices..
I can get prices but what brands do you want?

I can give you the part numbers to what I use on my cars. I normally go with Bendix rotors and EBC or Hawk pads.

Get the best price on the web and then call Summit Racing and they will beat the price of the other web companies and you sometimes can save a buck.

Uh, squeaking/chatter/noises is not a sign of rotor warp. You think maybe just the "anti-chatter" shims or glue could be the problem. Personally I could care less if the brakes make a funny noise, as long as they do the job.

I am VERY hard on brakes, in my commute think 70 MPH to 0 MPH at least 10 times every hour, when we say "stop & go" it means accelerate to 70 MPH then panic stop, repeat until home. That's just the commute, then I drive another 250 miles in normal traffic everyday!

I find that new pads at 30K, turn rotors at 60K, new rotors at 90K seems to be my routine, AND manually adjust the rears every tire rotation. The 2 in a row time I didn't adjust the rears destroyed my pads & rotors in 10K.

My experience agrees with donbrew.

My stock brakes made noise and the dealer would do nothing about it – said they were “High Performance” brakes and it was standard for them and the vehicle. High performance on a LS – what bovine excrement! SS maybe.

After that I took the existing pads out and put on the red anti-chatter paste. Haven’t heard a peep from them in 30,000 miles.

As they wear they get noisy...at least mine did,,,but didnt really notice it until they were changed. Things got real quiet and smooth again with the new rotors/pads.
