I just read this entire thread. My gut tells me that the ACDelco number provided (#13598771) does not apply to SS wheels. Said part is a rubber valve stem, but the SS has metal valve stems. That said, GMPartsDirect and RockAuto list #20925924 as the correct SS replacement stem/sensor. Can someone confirm?

The stem does not matter. The TPM attached to to the bottom of the stem with a screw. If you want new metal stems then get the kit with metal stems, if you want new rubber stems get the kit with rubber stems, if you want to reuse your stems just get the TPMs. You cal also get stems individually, just be sure they are for TPMS.

Go to a GM dealer parts department if you are worried about over priced Original Equipment., then you won't have to worry about dishonest vendors and clones.
The TPMS does not care as long as both parts are on the same frequency (315). Part numbers get superseded on a regular basis, with stem, without stem, with metal with rubber, brand of battery, brand of microchip, brand of screw, etc.

Be carefully about battery-burning bargains on Fleabay. Lots of “new old stock” listed as new.
I just got a refund on some nearly dead “new” silver oxide batteries that arrived well past their “use by” date.
Pretty sure the tpm sensors have lithium cells. Self discharge is slower, but they begin dying at manufacture, not at installation.
I wonder if the date of manufacture is encoded on all those hieroglyphics.
