Got the 2.4 2007 with air and was in the boneyard to looking at one when and pulled the cover off .. I look at front of the compressor it look like just a round plastic cap .. so I know if has the triangle metal shape it would be a different belt .. any inputs

 

So your's is different from the one in the boneyard ? So what. I hope you weren't looking for a used fan belt in a wrecking yard.
Do yourself a favor and get a new one. Not that expensive.

 

no I was just checking the same year 2007 2.4 before I get mine apart to make sure I get the right new belt ..

Yes, they are different belts. I don't recall the specs.

 

Won't matter what the junkyard HHR has because your's may be different.
The 2007 2.4 parts list shows 2 different belts, depending on which AC compressor your HHR has. You need to verify which compressor your car has before ordering the parts.
