Got a question for all of you....

Are we planning on the Annual event beinga one day thing or possibly a Thur-Sat thing with Sunday being a travel day?

Reason I'm asking is I got a lot of great ideas this week-end and need to know how many days to plan for.

Details to follow soon after y'all tell me what we're thinking.

I was thinking that with enough notice, and this being planned for the summer, a Th-Sat. event would be perfect. Everyone arrive Thursday night or Friday morning, with lots of time to have a run and do some vacation/type stuff Friday. Then have the show on Saturday, BBQ/picnic and then a run. The be able to head home Sunday. Those who didn't have to hurry home could get together for breakfast.

If we just want a one-day thing, that's cool too. I'm just thinking we're too fun a crowd for just one day!

I think I, meaning Bonnie and me, got enough info to give a more detailed plan by the end of the week.

 

I like Z-man think the annual should be at least 2 days so we can sit and talk and acctually get to know the other persons we have so much fun with!!

Im thinking everyone get to the location on wednesday or atleast by thursday afternoon. One day is way to short. Especially if it is Branson. Way to much to do. Leave out Sunday afternoon. With one night, everyone being at the same resturant. (Shorty Smalls in Branson) to get a good picture and some good eating. I can make reservations so we can all sit together Im still researching prices, places, and events for Branson so hang in there.

 

Give me a PM and let's talk. I'm working one up for that area too and have some great ideas. I was just down there this week-end and have a site for the show/BBQ scouted out that will take 100+ if we need it and it will only run about $20 for the day! Lots of stuff there for the kids too. Alreadt got one GREAT run mapped with bunches of wicked turns and hills and two beatiful spots for photo ops along the way. Camping and lodging right on the lake too!

 

this sounds good for aleast a 2-3 day event plus travel time. now have there been a date set in concrete yet????

If no one really has any date in mind then I sugest the Date of Aug 9-10-11 of 2007. Our first get together for the HHR owners in what is called the Mid-Central Region was on Aug 12th 2006 in fun & loving place called Peoria. I would like to hear what other dates other owners have in mind. I hope this will have a final date so we as HHR owners can vote on 1. Location, 2. how many days , and 3. who all might want to Par-take in the most spectacular event of the year 2007 for a Chevrolet HHr Owner. We must get this information out to all, After all, this is one of the reasons that this site was put up for, HHR owners sharing information and discussing HHR issues and problems to make our life better for all HHR owners.
What do you all think? This is how i feel at this time because I for one will have to ask the big boss for funding and ask for time off of work. Hope to see everyone soon!!

 

Hiya Z! Miss ya! I know nothing is set in stone yet so I want to add that i like the dates of Aug 16-19. This is only becuase of my job. I do payroll for our salesmen and they get paid once a month and I can not take off any days before the 12th of a month. But if that is going to be better for everyone else than I'll still be there for the Saturday and Sunday! You won't keep me away now that I've met ya! LOL
