Drove around Babler for about an hour around 12:30........saw deer, turtles, lots of birds, a park ranger pull over a Mitsubishi for speeding, couple of family reunions but no Cobalts. Where were you guys??

 

Good thing we decided to meet up at the Galaxy Theatre or we would have been at Babler looking around for everyone also...

We figured no other Gateway HHRs decided to show. No one showed up but us in an HHR.

We showed up at the Galaxy Theatre parking lot right before 11:00 am and we were the only HHR there. About 12 Cobalts and a couple Saturns at the time.

Found out that they were planning to hang out on the Galaxy Theatre parking lot til 12:00 to 12:30pm. We thought we were just meeting at the theatre for a few minutes then going to cruise out to Babler State Park to picnic/bar-b-que.

Then we found out there was a last minute change of plans and they decided to go to Lumiere Sculpture Park instead of Babler State Park.

Angie's kids needed a ride back from the pool (back in St. Charles) by 2:00pm.

We did not have time to wait until 12:30pm to head out to Lumiere Sculpture Park then eat and start heading back to St. Charles... so we politely excused ourselves around 11:40.

 

sorry all i was unable to make it i was having power and phone problems at the house so i had to help my mom fix it by calling and stuff like that so im sorry i was unable to make it to the meet

 

Damn could have had our own meet at Babler! Actually, that was the first time I'd been there in years and we SHOULD have a meet there! Missed the memo on the sculpture park!

Just looked at the pics on their site..........looks like everyone had a good time. Had a black HHR SS come down from Chicago.......if only I had known!

 

Looks like this group changed things up too many times. Glad we didn't go.
