Cruisin' The Coast - July 9-11, 2010 - West Mi. G2G
Lake Michigan has approximately 88 Lighthouses along her shorelines, more than any of the other Great Lakes. Lake Michigan has sandy shorelines with thousands of acres of sand dunes from the Indiana border to the Straits of Mackinaw.
This schedule is in NO WAY set in stone, but we wanted to throw some ideas out and hopefully get some feedback. As always, weather will be a deciding factor on some activities. We're thinking of day trips to three West Michigan Coast cities: Grand Haven, Saugatuck, and Muskegon -- overnight lodging will be less expensive in the Grand Rapids/Holland areas, as I'm sure the lakeside towns jack their rentals up for the season. (We can provide accommodation information.) I've tried to provide websites and pricing information where available.

Those arriving later, meet for dinner/drinks/circulate/information

Carolyn, sounds good. So we are talking Thursday as well? Will have to check that part out since we plan on rooming with Eric. We are up for about anything but I think we would pass on the dune rides, Michigan's Adventure, and the raceway. But then again ya never know.
If you're not up for dune rides, the water park, or the race track, we'll research other options and goings-on for that weekend. We have time to hone out a workable schedule/agenda! We want y'all to enjoy our part of the woods!
Go with a general consensus. If that's what people want to do then do it
We can find things to do with our time
BTW, just looked at the dune ride and it looks fun. Didn't realize it was a bigger vehicle that would allow a large group so we may be up for this
I noticed that there were dune rides and boat tours in both Muskegon and Saugatuck so I'm going to assume we would do a boat tour in one and the dune ride in the other?

Dorothy and I are discussing what our game plan is gonna be for that weekend. I am not sure on the Thurs. thing yet, still discussing that, lol, but if we dont come up there on that day , we are planning on the fri, sat, sun part. We are talking about what we are gonna with our kiddlings, lol. Have to see if they can spend some time at G-ma's and G-pa's. Everything sounds like alot of fun, and cant wait to meet the people we have not yet met!!

Yepper... that was the thinking! But, if we find a good winery, or casino, or other point of interest, we can certainly rearrange!
