Upcoming Weather! Are you Ready?

So the lovely luck that I have I decided I would leave the HHR at the house and bring the Focus to work since we plan on staying the night tonight and can't leave a vehicle on the road due to the weather. Go to start the Focus and click, click, click, click. My 10 year old factory battery finally decided to die. Of course just before the big storm.

Oh wow, that sucks. I try not to be too religious or anything, especially on here, but maybe God's trying to tell you something. Maybe you wouldn't have wanted to take that car...you never know. There's always a reason for everything. Better to have the battery die now than have you stranded somewhere in the middle of the storm!

There was about 1/2" of ice this morning at my house and on my HHR. I drove north to my office on the east side of Cleveland where there was about 10" of snow. I experienced everything during my drive - rain, ice, sleet, slush, and snow. I had to stop in Akron to deice my wiper blades and scrape ice from my windshield. My HHR looks like a snow covered ice cube. More rain and ice forecast for tonight. I think I am going to work at home on Wednesday.

We only got about a foot of new snow but have too much built-up already.
The plow broke about 4' off our in-between-the-driveways snow-towers into our 3 driveways.
There were 3' boulders of icy snow chunks built up over 3' high and 6' deep blocking us in.
My mechanic put a 425 HP 427? 429? whatever into his 80's F250 last summer.
It took him about 45 minutes to pull the barricades out and clear our driveways.
I just happened to have a carton of smokes for him that I got the other day so all's fair.
$50 worth of smokes to save hours of backbreaking work is better than sliced bread to me.
The freeloader stepson finally got out onto the front porch roof and cleared about 1/2 ton of snow off so he's back in my good graces.![Thumb Up](https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_thumb.gif)
The medians between my driveways are only about 6' wide but also piled 6' high.
Winter sucks - we're going to get another 12"+ tomorrow and nowhere to put it.
I dropped 1000mg of Tylenol and plopped onto the couch in front of the TV.
Anyone wants to go anywhere before Friday and they're on their own.
