A huge thanks to Gary Roe for the classic Chevy Hood art. Got the grill chopped, hood and grill painted and the Ram Air hood scoop finished. I'll be getting the Oscar Mike's on next!!!
Next I'll drop the rear bumper/valence and chop the front bumper below the headlights. I have the front bumper already made. It might need a winch for effect.
I'm going to try and finish the paint today. Going to Bedliner the roof so the canoe and bicycles don't mess it up. Waiting to hear from my vinyl guy about the P40 nose art and lettering.
Double Score!!! Should be done with paint and body by the end of the week!!! Then Malibu struts and springs in the back. Once that's done I'll figure out the duallies.
Paint done! Just waiting for lettering and nose art!!! I guess it's suspension next. I'll get longer brake lines for the back since I have to disconnect them for the springs anyway. Then struts. I'm really digging the idea of dually wheels. 3" spacer/adapters on the front should make the offset about stock. 5/8" adapters on the back with the dish out should make a cool footprint. Once I have the tires and wheels I can figure out what I need for fenders. Oh yeah I can do the bumpers now as well.
Size may be the same but the offset on those dually rims are going to be totally different from the HHR rims. My guess is you're creating a very dangerous ride. Putting the dually load/extended reach outside the stock fenders, is going to put too much stress on the stock HHR axle design and bearing.
