3 bar grille question

I am working on a 3 bar grille, but none of the old threads have pictures on installing the gutter guard mesh. The old how-to from Socalhhr is long gone...
Can anyone help a brother out? Also, is there a decent priced aluminum/metal bowtie out there? I want one I can powdercoat.

Here is one. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appe...s-21019/page2/

and another: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/appe...-grille-33825/

Everybody seems to think it is so intuitive they don't show how they did it. Here is the search I did, it found 10 pages. One refers to glue.

My mesh is not glued rather is held in place by being bent into the crevices of the outer grille she'll and held down with the mounting hardware mainly the long one that runs top to bottom.... If that makes any lick of sense lol

Thanks donbrew. I like the wood blocks with epoxy and screws idea. I noticed the gutter guard I got from Home Depot isn't big enough to cover the whole grill. I assume everyone had to cut down two pieces?

You could spend a few more bucks and get some expanded stainless. I have seen it in the hardware section near the bar stock.

I put on some stainless steel screws mounted with epoxy for fastening the mesh.

I'm going to look for the expanded stainless just for comparison sake, and look into epoxying wood blocks in to screw down the mesh.

Any recommendations for an aftermarket bowtie? The grill I am working on was a j-yard pull off and someone had already yanked the emblem...
