Two facts: European regulations require amber turn signals front and rear. HHRs were sold in some countries in Europe.

Therefore, an OEM taillight part with amber must exist... but I've not been able to find such a thing. Does it exist, and would it be legal in the US?

Or, should I just get a set of LED lights with amber?

 

Pretty sure any light not red or white on the rear is not legal in US anymore. That's one of the things they have to modify upon import.

 

No mention of that here, and the citations there seem to indicate that mandating red rear turn signals would be stupid. In 2009 the NHTSA was considering mandating amber rear turn signals.

 

I think they retrofitted the bumper reflectors with amber signals.
