Where did you get the black plastic plugs ?
Did you imbed them in place with a sealant/adhesive or ??
Look pretty good to me from a distance.
Would it be possible to take a couple close ups and post them ??
Comming from a Marine Business enviroment, I have done hundreds of small custom jobs to make thing look and work the way they should.

As I'm always told, just use your imagination and make something work.

I know its hard to tell, but my wagon started out as a 2LT back in March when I picked it up used. The chrome was just too much for me, so I've completely deleted all the chrome except for my lug nuts which I may end up going black.
Here's a close up of the plugs...I still need to buff out the small lines left behind by the end caps or clean up the excess black silicone...I just haven't got around to it yet because I'm so short (5'5") that I never really pay attention to the roof (plus I don't show my wagon)...

If you have a darker color on your HHR the black plugs won't look to bad. I'm sure somewhere out there in the world there are red, blue, orange, pink, purple, gold, silver and almost any other color plug out there that could match your HHR's color better. You just have to search, they are out there somewhere, maybe even at your local craft shop.

You know I actually thought about painting mine, but the black doesn't look bad. The next major project I'm planning is to have the holes plugged professionally and the roof is going to be painted black.

Sorry guys...no part number or link to the plugs. I got them at Autozone. My local Autozone has a pretty nice selection of different body plugs...I can't remember now which one's I got. I know that I got some that didn't fit so I had to go with a smaller diameter...I used a large amount of silicone in each hole and then applied a healthy amount onto each of the plugs before sticking them into the holes.
