Oh yes I get some very weird looks, a lot of questions, and people are taking pictures of it daily. I think it will draw a lot less attention once there is no more exposed foam and is completely primered.

Well you could use red oxide primer and gray primer to give it a two toned look before you lay the topcoat on it.

It would give it a very interesting and attention grabbing look while you whittle down the final color combination.

Are you considering faux woodgrain on the parts of a Buick Super Estate that would have been wood on the original 48-51 models?

Mike, I am currently using red oxide and off white primer to get the two look.
And I have no plans to use any wood on the outside of the car :)

Ya know, I thought the off white areas were just the natural color of the base foam. Just call me stupid Ben, the wife always does.

But it sounds better in her native language..."J'ai épousé un crétin fini!"

Well in your defense Mike, the foam is almost exactly the same color as the off white primer, so don't feel bad... LOL

I was having one of "those" days Ben, you know, the kind where your thinky part stops working before you want it too.

Well I finally got the visor dialed in to the point that I won't be making any changes to the shape. Actually, I won't touch it again until it's time to paint the car. What do you guys think?
