Thank you Tim for your supreme vote of confidence! But unfortunately, I think GM is done with retro for the foreseeable future.

 

Here is my next version of the hood ornament. Went with a more streamlined modern take on the original. The the shape is dialed in, just need to polish it up more to get more of a chrome appearance.

Maybe a little more forward so the tip is even with the hood line?

 

I had played around with the positioning of the ornament quite a bit before finally settling on where it's currently placed. From a side profile, it actually looked better with the tip of the bomb being set farther back. I may change my mind after I have lived with it in its current placement for a while, but the holes are drilled so I am pretty committed to the current location... LOL
