What flickering? If you pull the fuse and the relay. or just the fuse.
From not using the harness. Like as if it wouldn't get enough voltage from the headlight wires vs the relay harness that is connected to the fuse panel

I am confused. What's wrong with headlights if you disable DRL? They are separate.

When you add the hids. Instead of adding the harness with the relay you pull the drl fuse and just hook them up like a regular hid kit. Cars plug to ballast, ballast to bulb. Using the plugs from the headlight on both sides

When the DRL is on the low beams are off. When the headlights are on the DRL is off.

Your problem is going to be managing hi-beams.

The drl is a lower voltage through the bulb right? Whether high or low doesn't really matter because once I pull the fuse it will be inop. Then since they are disabled I won't need the harness kit to hook up the hids the high low function will still function

I had the hi/low function with my HIDs. And yes I aimed them down.

I wish I had put the tripod higher, I set it at headlight level. But you can see the hi/low function works.

UNLESS.....you do a retro-fit with projectors. I have normal high/low beam function using projectors and HIDs inside a set of Depos using a wiring harness from The Retrofit Source (less than $30). I pulled the fuse for my DRLs under the hood and have zero issues.

I installed them with the relay harness (it's such a mission to put the bulbs and ballasts in the harness was the easy part) and just pulled the drl relay and everything works great. Took about an hour
