Both light up?

If I hit the brakes, I would want both sets of lights to light up. I wonder how to tie it all in?

redid the lights so now all 4 tails work as marker/brake/blinker.

hacked the bulb mount out of a spare set of upper:

modded the lowers to accept the upper socket and bulb. mounting it farther back from the base of the cup to put the bulb at the same distance from the lens as they are in the uppers (lower cup is shallower/smaller) also to get more cooling in the light itself (don't want any melted lenses):

here's one with the socket in:

I could not locate just the pigtail (male end of the wiring) so had to make my own. the sockets are PN 16530707 from GM

or if you are using all uppers... I believe the upper left needs to be used for the lower right and vise versa

I just bought a set of stock tail lights from a member here the switched them out to LED's
Sorry to be so late in replying... I bought 2 new tail lights and cut the backup light openings to fit the tail lights. As I mentioned, I had to cut the openings out to fit the lights. I spliced the new lights into the tail lights so that I have 4 tail lights. I have a fog light mounted under the bumper as a temporary backup light.

Victory red LS, stubby antenna, running boards, privacy glass, debadged tailgate, Chevy script on the passenger's dash, Gentx mirror, SS grill, black Chevrolet on the stock grill. Projects - SSR style grill and artillery style wheels.

Peevlos,

After you had the backup lights for a while, how well did they work for you?

He's still around, but doesn't post much...he's told me that those specific lights weren't the best, which is why I chose to go with the set that I did. Check out my pics to see. He helped me install these.

I still lurk...

Mine worked ok. The lights that SmootHHR used on his work work a hell of a lot bet for seeing whats behind you when you need to back up at night..

Nice pics Rob
