Paint question

Just wondering if anyone has painted the plastic part on the ls/lt bumper, and how it worked out. I can't stand the look of all the grey/black plastic, so I want to paint it. But if someone has tried and it didn't stay worth a Damon, I won't bother

Numerous members have painted that part, properly prepped & correct materials will hold up as good as any of the plastic body panels ...

Are you talking about the black piece that is right behind the license plate?

Yes. I'm registered in Michigan, so I don't need a front plate. And I absolutely HATE the look of grey, unpainted plastic like that. It makes it look cheap. Since this post I have gotten around to painting it. I used Duplicolor Perfect Match from Autozone. IBM is near impossible to find, so I grabbed what I thought was a close match, but it came out lighter than I wanted, so I'm going to end up redoing it, but I think it looks better than the plastic, so I'm happy for now.

Or go all the way and swap to a SS front bumper cover.
No cheap looking, non matching inserts.

LOL, I would, but I want it to look like a regular LT when it's S/C'ed, that way little Timmy in his daddy's Rustang doesn't know what hit him when I blow his doors off.
