Racing Stripes 1st timer, DIY or professional?
Racing Stripes 1st timer, DIY or professional?
Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum and new to modding, and I have a few basic questions about a possible decal on my black HHR: I'd love to get some red/white racing stripes on my car like in this image, and possible the N7 logo on the back of the car. I've never done this before, so do you think it's possible with a little effort, or is it better to have it done professionally. Also, there are a few minor scratches on the car that the stripes migh pass over. Is it a really bad idea to put anything on them? Any advice is helpful.

if your confident enough do it... vinyl is very easy to work with it.
i did a flame job a few years back it wasnt to difficult... make sure you keep it soapy so they can be repositioned before you finish.

Welcome and Greetings!! To echo Hillsdale, striping can be a real pain in the tail. I've never striped an HHR, but I did do a '70 Nova and that cured me of ever attempting stripes again, I'll gladly farm that task out.

I would let a pro do it as the stripes can be a P.I.T.A. also, I don't think it would harm it greatly if you put the stripes over them.
but i know lots of car folks that owe me favors
