Roof rack cross bars

Roof rack cross bars
Hi guys,
My father in law has a 2011 Equinox LTZ that he will be turning in (lease for work) shortly. He said I could have his cross rails when he does (if they will fit). Any idea if they will? He is away with work often, so I never seem to have the chance to remove and try them.
Thanks - Matt

Pretty sure they won't. I'd guess too long.
Since this is a lease turn in, unless he bought them afterwards, I'd send them back with it. Otherwise he will probably get charged for them at dealer prices.....

Man, I was focused on the slot size - didn't even think about length! Maybe I can remember to carry a tape with me to measure the length and slot size the next time he is home.
He bought the crossbars after the company leased the vehicle, so he's safe there.
Thanks for the replies guys!

Even if they are too long, you may still be able to use them. Most roof rails have end caps that are fastened to extruded aluminum channels. If the slot works, then you could always remove the end caps, cut the channels to length, and reattach the end caps. Just a thought.
