Is that a wifi camera of some type, or do you have an adapter that plugs a normal camera in to the tablet?

not a tablet. it is the monitor that came with the camera and uses cables between the camera and monitor. Got it quite a few years ago cheap, just never used it.

Wired backup camera connects to EasyCap that converts the analog camera to digital USB. I'm using an old Andriod kernel, "Timurs". It has drivers for the camera, power management and quite a few other automotive features. The last update was 5 years ago, now nla. For the GPS program I use "Igo Primo".

Wolfbox is the best you can get. I got this guy for $60 but it's about $120-$140 new. g840h is the model. Has full screen rear, front or split both. Goes into reverse line mode when connected to reverse trigger or toggle switch. Both cameras are 1080p. Night vision works amazing. Automatically records when parked too. And it just clips over the existing rear view mirror. I did a lot of searching and this is the best full screen dashcam available as far as I know.

Problem I have with that is, the factory mirror already blocks much of my view, I am afraid a big one like this would make it almost impossible to drive the car.

Nope, I have a sunroof which makes it worse, but I can't really use my visors either, they completely block the road. I would have to drive gangsta style to make that work.
