Best Adhesive to use?
Hi Folks,
I'd like to mount my garmin unit a bit closer to me instead of on the window.
Due to the texture of the dash, that really narrows down my choices of mount points. Usually, I would use the red/grey 3M Double sided tape stuff, but I cant get it to grip enough to stay on. Any thoughts on what to use?
I've got a 2010 LS with the black interior, if that changes any suggestions at all.
Thanks!

If your dash has ever had Armor-All or another vinyl protectant applied, you should clean the area with an alcohol prep wipe or rubbing alcohol. They'll remove any residual residue that's keeping the tape from sticking.
Another option is a weighted friction mount, here's a link to the one I use, and that sucker doesn't go anywhere even in "enthusiastic" driving.

You could also try 3M trim tape, its used to stick on side moldings and badges.
P.S. to the forum!
