That's probably more than the OP wants to get into. Yours is s show vehicle and he likely is just a kid that wanted a fancier steering wheel on his street vehicle. Besides, he hasn't been back since this thread.

Issues with the law is another thing. I spoke of denial of coverage by the insurance comany. But, as you said, that's the individual owners call.

denial is a big river in Africa..my insurance comp knows everything..take pics for them all the time...no difference than driving an older model hot rod..airbags before 84 were known as hooters!!still lots of them around too...folks drive them everyday

so im back lol, ummm thanks pyro panel for pointing out that i was taking on something that is a whole heap of work and trouble. im actually going to keep the interior the way it is, i originally planned to have red and white vinyl seats put in and a new red headliner and carpeting but i recently made a bunch of money trading stocks so im trading in my lil devil at the end of february for a Chrysler 200 hardtop convertible. i have to say ill be sad when i trade my baby in, spent three years customizing it. i spent most of the time figuring out how to make my own set of wide whitewalls without spending $1200. she will be missed but im 19 now its time for an upgrade :)
