I'll be heading up to Philly for a lecture in April, and want to get some pics at Eastern State Penn.

Can anyone from the area tell me how accessible it would be for photos?

This will be a hit and run trip so I'll be in on a Tuesday. Lecture Tuesday evening, and back on the road to home Wednesday mid-day.

All I want is to be able to take some pics of me and the Express in front of the Penn.

Here's a link to their website, shouldn't be a problem taking some photos with it as a backdrop, take the tour if you have time...that place is spooky as all get out at night.

My Sis did the tour 2 years ago.... creeped her out for a week.

Its right on Spring Garden. Getting the right perspective will be the key as it takes up a block or two. You might also want to try Jack's Firehouse right accross the street. Very good, a bit expensive but worth every bit.
