Visiting Bristal & Mystic Conn next week

Coming from Long Island and going to Lake Compounce Sunday/Monday then Mystic Monday/Tuesday. Any side attractions along the way?-I have my wife and 2 daughters with me (but if it is guy things they are willing to stop for me), any family suggestions would help.

Thanks
Mike

There's also Lake Quassy right off exit 17 on 84W (about 15 min. from my house). It's the nation's oldest amusement park. It's tiny by "Six Flags" measures, but if you go on Fridays all rides are .50 after 5 IIRC, and sodas and hotdogs are ridiculosly cheap. Down in Norwalk there's an aquarium that's pretty neat if you want to take a side trip; that's off either exit 15 or 17 on 95N. As far as "guy stuff" there's always Lime Rock Park in northern CT as well as Stafford Speedway, or you can always go to either casino in the state if that's your thing, they're both close to Mystic..

Thanks for the info! I remember Lime Rock-when I was a kid my Mom took me there because she loved Paul Newman and he used to race there. That was when I used to stay up north in Canaan on Twin Lakes. (decades ago)
